Cookie Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy explains what soultune.cc stores in your browser, what it does not, and why we do not show a cookie banner. It is part of our privacy policy at soultune.cc/privacy.html.
1. The short version
soultune.cc sets no cookies of its own, and loads nothing from advertising, analytics or social media companies. The only things it keeps in your browser are needed to sign you in and to finish a purchase you started, and the law does not require consent for those. That is why there is no cookie banner.
2. What the website stores
The account page (soultune.cc/account.html) keeps two items in your browser's session storage, which is not a cookie, is never sent to any other website, and is erased when you close the tab:
- soultune.web_token: your website sign-in, which lasts one hour. Without it you would have to sign in again on every page.
- soultune.buy: the plan you chose on the pricing page, kept only until you have signed in and reached the checkout, so the right plan is bought.
The other pages store nothing. The website has no tracking pixels, no advertising or analytics scripts, no embedded social media buttons and no third-party fonts: everything on the page is served from soultune.cc.
3. Cookies that other companies may set
- Cloudflare, which hosts soultune.cc, may set a security cookie (named __cf_bm or cf_clearance) when its bot protection needs to tell a browser from an automated program. It is used only for that, lasts at most 30 minutes to a day, and is a strictly necessary cookie under European and UK law.
- When you buy a plan, you leave soultune.cc for the checkout run by Polar (polar.sh), and when you download Soul Tune you fetch the file from GitHub (github.com). Those websites set their own cookies under their own policies: polar.sh/legal/privacy and docs.github.com/site-policy/privacy-policies.
- Our Discord server is on discord.com, under Discord's policies.
We do not read, receive or control any of those cookies.
4. Why there is no cookie banner
Under the European ePrivacy rules and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for (such as keeping you signed in or completing a purchase) does not need consent. Australian law has no cookie consent requirement. Since the website stores nothing else, we do not ask. If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential storage, we will update this policy and ask first where the law requires it.
5. How to clear or block storage
Closing the tab clears the session storage. Your browser's settings let you clear site data for soultune.cc at any time or block storage altogether; the website then still works, except that you cannot stay signed in to the account page.
